Explanations in French  [Betsileo] ( aloka : ombre, fantôme ; et manaka : que l'on feint d'ignorer) Schefflera bojeri (Seem.) R. Vig. (Araliaceae). Arbre magique qui protège des fantômes. Encore nommé hazotsara ou tsingila. On lui attribue aussi de grandes vertus médicinales : comme cordial, reconstituant. Sa décoction amère est même administrée dans les cas d'épilepsie ( androbe), d'après Descheemaeker. [1.196]
