Explanations in English  [Betsileo] [Mod. s. from manoro (oro), boka, a leper.] Herbs, the juice from the leaves of which when applied to the skin blisters it; hence among the Betsileo those who have symptoms of leprosy thus apply it, the skin then peeling off; hence its name. [1.196]
