C'est en réalité un dichaetanthera (Melastomataceae) Dichaetanthera heteromorpha (Naudin) Triana ; l'échantillon récolté près d'Isatrana où habitait Chapelier, et où il a été enterré après sa mort, existe encore dans l'herbier du Muséum de Paris.
