 Sortilège, acte malfaisant. Le verbe mitoky veut dire ensorceler (il ne faut surtout pas le confondre avec un autre verbe mitoky : avoir confiance dans quelqu'un, se fier à lui ; encore que cette ambiguïté soit peut être voulue). Le sortilège, l'acte malfaisant se dit : fitokiana. Le mpitoky est celui qui ensorcelle. La personne ensorcelée est dite voatoky, « atteinte par le sortilège ».
