 (du sens général : se tenir à califourchon ; quand le mpitahiry présentait l'idole il fallait que ses ornements retombent des deux côtés). Idoles royales ou idoles particulières qu'on conservait au coin des ancêtres dans la maison (coin Nord-Est) quand on changeait leur attirail (appelé forongon-tsampy), les petits morceaux de bois ou d'autres matières étaient ramassés avec soin et vendus par le gardien ( mpitahiry) pour faire des talismans. On leur attribuait de grandes vertus et notamment celle de protéger contre les sortilèges. Ces petits talismans s'appelaient : zana-tsampy (littéralement : enfants d'idole). [1.196]
