Nom et identité relevés par Grandidier, Malzac, etc. Mais aussi d'autres Fabaceae comme Indigofera hirsuta L., etc. On prononce souvent « tranontately » [Betsileo] Nicolsonia barbata (L.) DC. (Fabaceae) est d'après Descheemaeker la principale espèce désignée sous ce nom. Identification de P. Boiteau d'après la photographie communiquée par Descheemaeker. Desmodium trifolium A. DC. Ined.
