[Betsileo] (« qui a la tête bombée »). Nom donné à plusieurs plantes en raison de la forme de leur inflorescence :
Spilanthes acmella Murray (Asteraceae). La forme sauvage du « Cresson de Para ». Légume et condiment.
Plusieurs kyllinga (Cyperaceae), notamment Kyllinga elatior Kunth, Kyllinga plurifoliata Cherm. et Kyllinga imerinensis Cherm. , tous à épillets réunis en capitule. Kyllinga monocephala Rottb., mentionné par le Firaketana Malagasy est très rare dans le Betsileo. C'est une espèce du Nord, de la montagne d'Ambre au Tsaratanana. [1.196]
